If you have been in the home business or MLM industry for a while, you probably hear 'I don't want to sell' from a lot of people. How many times have we heard that? When in reality we sell in all our relationships. What people are really saying is I don't want to pressure or impose on people. We don't see it as imposing when it is simply sharing information. I heard from Russell Brunson if you believe what you have can change people's lives then you need to share it. I want to share 3 points that selling is part of human relationships.

1. As a network marketer people tell you they don't want to sell.

2. In reality we have been selling all our lives.

3. There are many benefits to selling.

Here are the steps to guide you on relationship marketing.

1. As a network marketer people tell you they don't want to sell.

While I have been in the network marketing industry for almost 5 years now and I have heard so many people tell me 'I don't want to sell'. I know many of you out there can relate. I struggled with am I selling or sharing information, as I'm sure many of you have as well. I think what people are really saying are they don't want to bother people. There is this image of the used car or door to door salesman bothering us. Selling is about building relationships to see how to help people. I think that is where people get confused. It is important to be yourself, politely share your beliefs, and give people the opportunity to change theirs lives.

2. In reality we have been selling all our lives.

I read an article in the newspaper many years ago that changed my thinking about selling. It said everyone sells. As kids we sold our parents on getting dessert, staying up late, or playing with friends. As adults we sell our boss on ourselves to have the great next project, our spouse on helping with the kids, and our friends to help us get a project finished. We have no problem selling to these people for these things we want. In the network marketing industry we are selling people through relationship marketing. With relationship marketing we build trust with people.

3. There are many benefits to selling

I have learned and continue to learn that there are wonderful benefits to selling people on you and belief. If you believe in something that has changed your life then share it with people to change there lives. In the process you build wonderful relationships with people that may become close friends, spouses, or business partners. It is an amazing feeling to make a difference in other people's lives. These are all great benefits to relationship marketing and selling belief for a better world.
