Miller Paint Extends Partnerships with Sales Training America to Deliver Sales TrainingMiller Paint, a proven manufacturer of quality products with more than 116 years of experience in the paint industry, has chosen Sales Training America to deliver an intensive Sales Training workshop. Following the successful delivery of a Time Management workshop in early 2006, Miller Paint decided to take the next step to improve the overall selling skills of their team. In such a competitive market, where selling value is the key and relationships developed by the sales personnel make the ultimate difference, training for the Miller Paint sales team will also focus on building relationships and consultative skills that emphasize selling value instead of discounting price. The two-day Consultative Selling Skills workshop will be held at the company’s Northwest Regional office in Portland, Oregon. The company chose Sales Training America because of STA’s effectiveness in the delivery of the previous workshop as well as the overall program content which fit with the company’s goals and will help the sales team the practical skills needed to achieve them. About Miller Paint A German born scenic artist and house painter by the name of Ernest Miller moved to Oregon in 1885 and soon learned that paint that could handle the unique weather of the Northwest was difficult to find. So, in 1890, he purchased a stone mill and began manufacturing his own. His product was of such good quality that soon other paint contractors came to him to ask if they could use "Ernest Miller House Paint" and the Miller Paint Company was born. Over the years, his sons and other family members joined him, and the business expanded north to Seattle and south to Eugene. Miller Paint has been called on for use on Navy and Merchant Marine ships and in homes and businesses of all kinds. In the more than 115 years since it’s founding, the Miller Paint Company has grown to include 25 stores and thousands of satisfied customers. |
