Myers- Briggs Type Indicator Seminar

Seminar Outline:

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could really judge a book by its cover, or truly know what people are like by just looking at their faces? Unfortunately, you have to spend a lot of time with people to really get to know them, and one place where we spend a lot of time with people is in the workplace. However, the more time we spend with each other, the more frustrated we can get with each other.

We have developed our half-day Myers Briggs Type Indicator seminar to provide you with a tool to better understand yourself and your co-workers. This test builds on psychologist Carl Jung's theory of personality styles, and it is an invaluable aid to learning to work with others in an organization or on a team. In this seminar, participants will take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to determine their personality type and understand both its strength and weaknesses. MBTI measures the psychological attitudes of extraversion and introversion. The Myers-Briggs classroom test provides participants with a personality formula, preferences and the description of their type.

Seminar Objectives:

Participants in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator seminar will learn to:

  • Understand the uses of the MBTI and how it determines behavioral Types
  • Clarify individual and team behavior
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of the team
  • Reduce unproductive work processes by matching assignments to team members
  • Use a framework for understanding and better handling conflict
  • Understand how different perspectives can lead to effective problem solving
  • Maximize a team’s diversity to reach more useful and insightful conclusions
  • Interpret individual results to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each Type
  • Determine the Type reflected in the individual company’s culture
  • Develop an action plan for improving internal communication
  • Understand why teamwork is often the best solution
